I am glad to learn more about you reading your letter now. I am
interested to get to know you better, i believe you too, so here we
are, and it is our first virtual "meeting".

I guess you want to know more about me? I know is not easy to share
about us considering we are complete strangers, i simply don't know
where to start, but i will try anyway. My name is Alena, i live in
Ukraine in Kiev now for a few month, i had to move hear because of the
security reasons as my native town is located in a war zone, i am sure
you heard about the big crises here in my country, by profession i am
a teacher. I am here to find my beloved, i lost all the hopes to fine
the one and only here, where are many men who drink a lot and then
raise their hands to a woman... and I don't want such kind of man,
especially after having real bad experience... my loving daughter
Maria (or Masha as i call her) lives together with me and she is my
everything in this life, so if someone would ask me - are you ready to
go through all the things which happened in your life again? - i would
certainly answer YES, because thankfully to all i have my treasure
Masha, who i simply can't imagine my life without!

I feel that I am alone in this big world...I want to come home to a
man like you! Someone i can share my day when I come home from my work
and I would like to say him about my emotions and feelings for all the
day. I also would like him to tell me about his day and how it was,
whether it was good or bad, as you know the real daily life is not
just a paradise always but daily duties also, right? But well, i think
it is time to stop dreaming:))))

Well. This is my first try of writing a letter to someone who is far
away from me, so please don't judge me hard, and if you have any
questions - feel free to ask me. Here are few for you - what do you
want to tell me about yourself? I am interested in everything:) Tell
me about your family, your job and your expectations from our

The U.S. Embassy receives reports almost every day of fraud committed against U.S. citizens by Internet correspondents professing love and romantic interest. Typically, the Russian correspondent asks the U.S. citizen to send money or credit card information for living expenses, travel expenses, or "visa costs." The anonymity of the Internet means that the U.S. citizen cannot be sure of the real name, age, marital status, nationality, or even gender of the correspondent. The U.S. Embassy has received many reports of citizens losing thousands of dollars through such scams. American citizens are advised never to send money to anyone they have not met in person.
