I was contacted by this russian woman on the dating site Zoosk in february 2016. We had daily correspondence through e-mail for several months but she claimed that she had no telephone or computor at home, so we had to use e-mail only. She sent me over 120 photos. We spoke one time very briefly through a public phone but otherwise it was only e-mail.
She answered my questions most of the time but sometimes it seemed as if she didn't really read my letters. I was suspishious all along and told her I wouldn't send her money, but she didn't seem to mind and all in all she seemed legitimate. She sent me a photo with her holding a sign with my name on it and a copy of her passport.
In June we decided to meet and she was flying over to see me. She went to a travel agency and wanted me to send a few hundred euros through Moneygram for Visa and tickets. She would provide about half of the money. After a while she needed a much larger sum (2500 euro) to show the embassy to get the visa. She said it was enough if I contributed part of the money and as a fool I did. She promised to return my money. She kept sending me romantic letters daily but suddenly, a few days after she got the money, her mother fell ill and needed surgery and rehabilitation during four weeks and as a good daughter Anastasiya had to help her. So her visit was postponed and I recieved no letters during that time. Before she left and when she arrived I asked to get my money back but of course she was never able to wire me the money due to many excuses. After exactly four weeks she showed up again in my mail box and a new date for her visit was set. By then I was very suspishious and I noticed that the sum she required did not match the Visa requirement of my country. So I contacted the embassy and they said that they had not issued any visa for Anastasiya. When I confronted Anastasiya with this she pretended to be upset and broke of contact.
